Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to write, publish and launch a book?
This is a loaded question! Best answer is: It depends. While our team can often make miracles happen, it is best when we have enough time to plan and execute properly.
Most books will take 3-6 months, sometimes a bit more, depending on circumstances and availability for each author. With advanced guidance from our team, it is possible to go from idea to best-selling book within as little as 90 days.
How much time is needed to plan a best-selling campaign?
We need between 15 and 30 days to plan, research and set everything in place for a best-seller launch. Various factors need to be addressed, like countries targeted, list size (if any) and books competing in the same markets.
How many stores do I need to target for an international launch?
While we aim for results in multiple stores, the main goal is for the book to reach #1 for at least one category in at least two stores. We usually manage to reach multiple categories, and often parent categories, in multiple stores but don’t guarantee either the results or the quantity of books sold.
What if a celebrity is launching a book on the same day?
When we plan the campaign to make sure everything is optimized and ready for the big day, we also look on the horizon for any upcoming launch that might compete for the selected date.
We monitor the situation until the last minute, just in case we need to revise plans. In the eventuality that a surprise big launch is happening on the same day, we will assess the market to see if this will have an impact. If that is the case, we will have contingency plans to either re-schedule or change campaign details.
Do I need my own Amazon account?
Yes, you need your own Amazon KDP account so the book will be registered in your own account. If you don’t have one, our team can help you with that process. If you do have one our team will need your login info. We will use it to optimize the book details and to communicate with Amazon support.
Can I set the book at the price that I want?
Yes, absolutely! You can sell your book at any price that you desire (within Amazon guidelines) and revise it at any time, for each country. Our only request, if you plan to do a best-seller drive, is for you to agree to price your book $0.99 for a campaign of 24 to 72 hours.
Why so much the emphasis to reach #1 best-seller status?
This achievement will provide many opportunities to promote the book. It will also brand you as an “International Best-Selling Author” and allow you to use the “International Best-Selling Book” mention in your promotional material. Many variations of these titles will be available to use for the rest of your life.
Will sales results offset the campaign costs?
This is usually unlikely to happen; especially considering the $0.99 price point and the lower royalty level from Amazon for books in that price range. The main goal for that day is ranking, not the bottom line.
